As the Senior Director of Design within the CNN Brand Marketing
group, you will lead the creation of innovative and effective
design strategies that maximize our marketing campaigns across
channels. In this role, you will have a specific focus on
direct-to-consumer and larger brand touchpoints. You are
well-versed in the latest marketing and creative trends and will
work collaboratively with the Senior Creative Director and the
Senior Director of Strategy in developing and executing full funnel
creative. In this leadership role, you will oversee a team of
designers, guiding them to produce world-class digital marketing
materials. You are a visionary with a keen eye for detail and a
passion for storytelling through design, and have a proven track
record of leading successful marketing campaigns for a
direct-to-consumer brand or client. And of course, you love the
news. Your Role Accountabilities...
- Collaborate with the Senior Creative Director and the Senior
Director of Strategy to develop groundbreaking marketing creative
that will drive engagement and subscriptions across CNN's direct to
consumer offerings and the larger CNN brand.
- Oversee and provide creative direction to a team of designers,
optimizing art direction and design for existing and future digital
channels and platforms.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing touchpoints.
- Stay up-to-date with current industry trends, best practices,
design/production tools, and advertising platforms.
- Translate conceptual ideas into creative solutions that align
with editorial storytelling and marketing strategy.
- Articulate design concepts to other marketing team members and
thrive in a highly collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
Qualifications and Experience...

- Strategic mindset with a meticulous eye for typography, color
theory, layout design, timing, and movement.
- Mastery graphic design and layout, as well as motion graphics,
web design (UX/UI), and digital design for social media (Facebook,
X, Instagram, TikTok).
- Deep knowledge and experience with all stages of the consumer
marketing funnel.
- Proficiency in the most recent versions of Figma and Adobe
Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and After
Effects).
- Strong interest in news and information, with a working
knowledge of CNN's brand and character preferred.
- Ability to take direction and execute projects/tasks
efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to meet project deadlines without error.
- Team player who contributes to meeting the objectives set by
the department.
- Ability to multi-task, be flexible, and prioritize.
- Demonstrated track record of leading successful marketing
campaigns for a direct-to-consumer brand or client.
- Bachelor of Arts in Marketing, Design, Communication, or a
related field.
- Minimum ten (10) years of related work experience at an agency
or direct-to-consumer brand.
- At least five (5) years of experience managing a

on several factors, including but not limited to external market

performance. Base pay is just one component of Warner Bros.
Discovery's total compensation package for employees. Pay Range:
$139,020.00 - $258,180.00 salary per year. Other rewards may
include annual bonuses, short- and long-term incentives, and
program-specific awards. In addition, Warner Bros. Discovery
provides a variety of benefits to employees, including health
insurance coverage, an employee wellness program, life and
disability insurance, a retirement savings plan, paid holidays and
sick time and vacation.
