We are equally committed to building a diverse workforce and inclusive culture where employees can use their talents to thrive and grow professionally with the firm.The Sr. Benefits Manager ensures compliant, competitive, and cost-effective benefits policies and practices in addition to designing and delivering benefits solutions and policies in line with the firm's people and business strategies. This role will allow for creating and delivering training and communication and will have indirect oversight of benefits administration at the firm.What you are good at:

  • Time & Project Management: Able to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and have strong organizational skills. Able to prioritize and oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Have effective time management skills and able to meet deadlines.
  • Analytical Skills: Able to identify key data sources and utilize data-driven insights to effectively improve business decisions. Able to effectively diagnose and troubleshoot problems that may arise.
  • Relationship Management: Able to establish relationships across the organization and at various hierarchical levels.Responsibilities:
    • Coach, mentor, and instruct HR Specialists in HR Operations function. Ensure this function understands and executes benefits administration including Open Enrollment, Life Events, Invoicing as well as responding to employee queries relating to benefits.
    • Conduct budgeting and financial analysis of employee benefits programs. Monitors high-cost claims, targets problem claims areas. Ensures adequate estimates, forecasts, and calculations of expenditures in benefits for budget planning and tracking.
    • Ensures programs are equitable, meet employee needs, comply with legal requirements, and are cost-effective.
      • Follow up on External (legal) changes and their impact on current benefits
      • Evaluate internal feedback from employees and leaders as well as market trends to deliberate changes to and new benefits
      • Regularly review cost, participation, engagement, and utilization data
      • Evaluate existing benefits programs against peer organizations to determine competitiveness, trends, and developments.
      • Select, maximize, and evaluate brokers, carriers and vendors. Ensure appropriate review of current and future contracts in collaboration with the Janney Contract Review Committee.
      • Develop and maintain benefit documentation and communications.
      • Partner with Payroll and HR Operations to update Dayforce Benefits Module.
      • Participate in cross departmental/organizational projects as needed.What you have:
        • Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience.
        • Minimum 10 years of progressive related benefit experience.
        • CEBS certification preferred but not required.
        • Strong functional expertise in benefits program design and administration.
        • Financial acumen and excellent analytical skills.
        • Working knowledge of government regulations that apply to benefit programs (ERISA, FMLA, COBRA, HIPAA, HCRA).
        • Experience with M&A transactions preferred but not required.
        • Strong verbal and written communication skills, ability to interpret contractual language into easily understandable text, comfortable in group presentations and negotiations.
        • Possess proficiency to convey information clearly and effectively to various audiences and mediums.
        • Team-oriented with a highly collaborative orientation.
        • Demonstrate poise, grace under pressure, and have a "can do" attitude.
        • Possess strong software skills, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and HR systems.
