Catering Department Manager Job SummaryWe are seeking a highly skilled Catering Department Manager to oversee the Catering Department at Chartwells Higher Education - Rowan University. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing catering events, supervising staff, and ensuring excellent client relationships.Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise all catering events and ensure proper service to clients.
• Oversee event set-ups, cleaning, and breakdown procedures.
• Train catering associates in service techniques, menu presentation, and customer service.
• Track and monitor labor and food costs for each event.
• Communicate effectively with management, clients, and associates.Requirements:
  • 2 years of food service experience, including 1 year at the management level.
  • Experience in restaurants, hotels, corporate dining, education, military, health care, and/or related food service operations.
  • Catering experience is required.
  • Some knowledge of food and catering trends with a focus on quality, production, sanitation, food cost controls, and presentation.
  • Financial, budgetary, accounting, and computational skills.
  • Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office products.Benefits:
