Job SummaryAs a Prepared Foods Specialist at Whole Foods Market, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the highest quality food products are prepared and maintained in the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars. Your attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will be essential in meeting customer expectations and promoting sales.Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation and Quality Control: Prepare food items according to production sheets, ensuring quality and consistency. Label, date, cover, and monitor prepared items for quality and freshness.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food levels and replenish in a timely manner to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service, addressing customer needs in a timely and effective manner. Offer suggestive selling techniques and answer phones and pages promptly and courteously.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean and sanitary working and shopping environment. Ensure walk-ins and freezers are clean and organized.Requirements

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 6-12 months retail experience.
• Skills: Thorough product knowledge, ability to follow a recipe, good understanding of food production and fundamental cooking techniques, good basic math skills, strong communication skills, and ability to work as part of a team.Working Conditions
  • Lifting: Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Standing/Walking: In an 8-hour workday, stand/walk for 6-8 hours.
  • Exposure: Exposure to FDA-approved cleaning chemicals, temperatures up to 90 degrees Fahrenheit, and ability to work in wet and dry conditions.
