About the role: Transportation management has never been so
important. A reliable transportation model is essential to support
the fast-paced and ever-changing retail environment. Chanel
business continuity requires clear visibility of inbound/outbound
products, reliable deliveries and strong carrier governance. The
transportation strategy and shipment planning processes must remain
customer centric to support the continued growth and success of
CHANEL. The Outbound Transportation Associate is responsible for
the efficient coordination of shipping activities including
maintenance of files and documents, compliance with customer
routing guidelines and communication with internal/external key
stakeholders. The transport associate will be the main point of
contact and SME of outbound shipments from the CHANEL F&B
distribution center to retail partners, the CHANEL 3PL ecommerce
fulfillment facility, CHANEL SAB network (Stand Alone Boutiques)
and all other CHANEL field and corporate locations. II. EXISTING
AND FUTURE STAKES: Areas of transformation for the future New
obligations accompany the clarity of F&B 'must haves' -
Harmonize Network. Omni Channel - Our owned distribution (Fashion
Boutiques, SAB, Chanel.com, Consignment/lease business models) must
have the same strategic focus and support as MBR historically.
Complexity - The challenge is numerous variables and connected
parts; the response is building the capability to address
complexity and connect the dots. Simplification of our organization
and processes is key. Ambiguity - The challenge is 'unknown
unknowns', with no precedent; the response is experimenting with
hypothesis and tests, and applying lessons learned broadly (across
all channels). What impact you can create at CHANEL: Run daily
reports in CHANEL SCI system to summarize freight availability for
carrier routing/pickup Schedule pickup entry requests for the
carrier routing of F&B retail outbound orders. (Must utilize
multiple retailer's Transportation Management Systems for routing
request submissions) Interact with retail accounts and their
associated carriers to coordinate the timely and accurate
distribution of goods Organize daily parcel and weekly messenger
pickups for CHANEL's SAB retail network, CHANEL corporate and other
critical business areas Issue bills of lading and pertinent
shipping documents required for outbound shipping and DOT Create
work boards and load sheets for material handlers Check in drivers
upon arrival at CHANEL distribution center and ensure accurate
shipment loading and security sign off Ensure all outbound
shipments are closed in CHANEL WMS (parcel and non-parcel) to
support precise invoicing and ASN distribution Issue daily activity
shipment report to CHANEL Distribution and Account Management teams
Proactively problem solve, communicate and collaborate with
appropriate internal/external teams when order, product or customer
service issues arise Join internal team calls with Account
Management and Distribution to review monthly business goals,
current workload and order release schedules Follow up on order and
shipping errors to ensure accuracy and customer satisfaction Read
and interpret customer routing guidelines to ensure compliance with
vendor and customer requirements Routinely review CHANEL SOP's to
ensure Transportation Operations processes are aligned with
customer requirements You are energized by: Must understand the
needs of the business and develop a solid understanding of what is
working and where there are opportunities for improvement to
jointly prioritize, develop and deploy appropriate collaboration
strategies Ability to multitask and prioritize work to meet
department and company targets Understands industry standards as
well as business needs Familiarity and with Logistics-related
vendor portals, terminology Ability to work cross functionally to
build actionable strategies Position logistics: Work-Place
Essential: This role requires 5 days in person office at the
Piscataway, NJ Office Bachelor's degree in related field -
preferably international Business or Supply Chain Minimum 1 year of
hands-on experience managing domestic logistics (Fashion and
fragrance & beauty industry a plus) Experience in SOP creation and
outlining operational process flows Solid working knowledge of
domestic transportation modes, shipping documentation and HAZMAT
requirements Ability to understand technology as it relates to
business operations Demonstrated ability to effectively manage
working relationships with both technical and business
professionals High proficiency with computer systems and software
applications Superior communication skills (both written and oral)
Solid analytical and problem-solving skills *Chanel, Inc. reserves

circumstances where deemed appropriate. Compensation: The
anticipated base salary range for this position $51,100 through
$71,000. Base salary is one component of the total compensation for
this position. Other forms of variable pay [may/will] be offered
for this position. Other components [may/will] include bonus
